Well while dimes are nice and bills are neat, really use just want a structurally sound weld. This just isn't going to cone without practice and learning, but I'm trying as I have opportunities. Ide prefer to learn from wisdom. Ive got some good tools and if applied right I might just get some wisdom...

  • Haha nice robot.

nobits not applying these to a damaged vehicle, they are a mitigation upgrade. Many use these to build further off of adding cages or anything substantial.

I feel there is much play in how you utilize this machine. The settings suggested for 3/16th 5 tap 50 wire, is quite hot. Perhaps moving faster is needed, but I can't for the life of me get these nice rows, even remotely hinting at stacking dimes. I don't expect this, but with some cursive e's or repeat...

  • Yes, but not from welding. I boogered up drilling through, was able to gave a friend chase remaining threads to get a new stud in.

I did however free a broken bolt on the harmonic balancer while almost turning the nut into a molten blob.

  • Dale these are some photos of a few different companies frame stiffeners, but the concept of welding them on is captured fairly similarly between all of them.

    northweldor,
you have good thoughts on alternative options, but the reason for this frame stiffener is the same reason it...

  • I believe it may be heat treated. These unibody stiffeners are made to stitch and rosette weld onto the frame rails for reinforcement. This is not welded on all length of the stiffener.

this is the most info I've found thus far, but as for setting up my machine I'm not sure where it should...

Tapped setting for 3/16th onto 16g

    Hi all,

I have a question because the mvp210 I have is a tapped machine.

on a jeep application there are weld on 3/16th metal plates that get welded to the 16g unibody. This is no easy task especially for a newb. I need to make sure heat is being moved around well, as to not...

    Thanks Mac,

I've read however, currently these days, buying pre-made cords is a but more cost effective on the wallet, and a but better build for wire to plug connection/ housing.

lastly if magnet clamps are crap, how do you recommend ground to interior car body?
