  • Buccley Old Engine Show

Its coming up soon. There is a lot of internet stuff on it. My Son and I went yesterday afternoon and helped erect part of the covered train tressel for the Spirit of Traverse City which looks like it will be running this year. We were limited in track but this will be 4 generations for some.
My Mother rode it as a child in Traverse at a park and so did I, and now my son will get to. In many cases this would or could be 4 generations deep.
    More with some pics later.

The club has about a 1000 members, its a power house. They are older for sure and a big rush to get a lot of things done while they still can. Huge infrastructure projects for a club. Most of the work is done in house with some execptions involving special perimts, equipment or time etc. Got an electric and building crew.

Nice. I try to get to Chippokes Plantation State Park every couple of years here in Virginia. Not as big and organized, but usually everything from steam traction engines to hit and miss to early lawn tractors. On a side note, the "Big Boy" locomotive restoration and unveiling date about coincides with when I plan to get my company to pay me to not come to work anymore, so that's on my bucket list.
      Blacksmith
      Stickmate LX AC/DC
      Big cheap (Chinese) Anvil
      Hand cranked coal forge
      Freon bottle propane forge
HH 210 and bottle of C25

I cant recall the math exactly but it seems about 50 thousand at the gate maybe more. I don't pay much attn. to the business end as its a really well run outfit. Its neat to watch a city move in a couple days and out in one afternoon.

count the porta-potties. Believe me, it's a more reliable measure.

The parking brake will not engage and so the mower will not start. Any ideas?

We went and looked around and seems it's pretty well ready to go. The place is well cleaned and the people as revved as they can be considering the ages.
