  • small jib crane swivel crane tip for pickup truck

hello, we will have to make the metal frame of a small gib revolving crane, to be set up on a small truck bed, I think height 160 cm, jib arm length 150 cm rotation 200 degrees payload 200 kg 300 kg maximum. to bolt to the vehicle body. should be used to lift small equipment modest loads, we will have to fix it well with sturdy plates to avoid deformation of the frame and the body any useful suggestions? thank you Click image for larger version

Think I should consider base of crane going through body and attaching to truck frame, "body mount" may not be very rigid unless it is excessively large...........

      I agree with Dale.

Have you been able to complete any of the projects you've gotten ideas from here? Some neat stuff, but all we ever get to see is the rough draft. We like projects!

thank you for your interest, I also thought I would fix the upright well with a sturdy plate.

gantry crane hoist built with your precious suggestions, box-shaped columns 100x 100 mm and H-beam ipe 180 capacity about 2500kg, if I can I attach other photos of projects realized with your precious suggestions.

I fabricated a crane that mounts in my hitch insert, There are some good videos on Youtube on how to do this. Very easy to do and works well for my purposes. Quick assembly and disassembly. With a little imagination one could construct it in a way so as to be able to leave installed while driving.

ID:	714153The upright has a bolt in the insert to tighten securely, see bottom right. The short piece is a support for heavy items and I recommend a larger pad in case ground is soft. The winch assembly is from HF. This could easily be modified to be installed permanently.
