Skid Plate

I would like to build a skid plate for my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X. What exact materials would I need to start the project. I would like to build something similar to the skid plates by Poison Spyder.

A lot depends on "how" you build it.... Good material would be at least 10 gauge (slightly more than 1/8 inch, 0.140 I believe).... And how rigid it is depends on how you brace it and how thick bracing and mounting material is....

Might look here for some build details... They have some pretty serious build projects...
