    Nothing to do with welding...but this is from Life magazine 1896 or so (pre automobile) 'just shows how we have no clue of what the future holds.

    Not all of 'us' 'foot'. The Swiss have a long history of bike mounted soldiers. I believe this is their current version.


    BTW, if you haven't boned up on the Swiss military, they are viable, aggressive and ever present even in a neutral country. Visiting in the summer it is hard to find an area where the locals aren't practicing with their militia ammo.

      The Japanese used them w/great success in WWII...It was their version of the Blitzkrieg. Highly mobile. If I remember right, it was when they attacked Singapore. I could be wrong there.
