  • Custom made metal components for broadcasting center

I would like to know something about metal fabrication. The construction work of our broadcasting center is going on. We are planning to consult one metal fabricator in Toronto named Bayview Metals. We need to get custom made rack mounts, control panels, chassis etc. Is there any criteria to follow when constructing metal components for a broadcasting center like metal type, tolerance etc..

    Hi Ernest,

Metal Fabrication is the process of taking parts and raw materials and bending, cutting and assembling them together. In case you have been planning to employ some Metal Machining Services or are just an information sponge who is curious to learn more about this tedious process, here are things that you might want to know: All about Metal Fabrication

Looked over your suggested contractors website, and they seem quite well equipped and experienced in the kind of work you require. However, it is always wise to obtain at least three proposals in order to be sure that you are getting max. value. This company seems a little focused on Tig, rather than pulsed mig, a faster less-distorting process.

Not sure why you need a lot of fabrication most telecom and broadcast and sound studio equipment is designed to fit in standard racks or equipment bays....

IF you need custom fabrication, generally mild steel materials with appropriate sized material to support equipment would be sufficient with appropriate series of mounting hole with universal pattern so if some equipment need changed in future it will fit without a lot of modifications... Also provide extra mounting holes for proper grounding and power outlets for racks and bays ... Main criteria is does company you selected has experienced in the type of design you require...

If you go to the website, they claim over 40 years in telecom.
