Cracked axle tube

I have welded a few cracked axle housings before but never in such a point of extreme stress. A welding shop would probably decline welding this due to insurance regulations, so finding a competent welder may be a problem. Even if You manage to get it welded, I would not wait to long before replacing the entire axle. Thats a weight bearing area so the forces that are at work are extreme. "I have spoken".

Okay. I figured that was in a bad spot to weld. Thanks for your help though.

Found a crack on the axle of our f550. Do you guys think that it can be welded? I think the casing is cast steel.
