  • Cracked fender repair, 60s Olds Toronado

A friend asked me if I could fix his Toronado fender that's splitting in the middle. I was thinking of wirebrushing the area down to steel, turning a clamp through those boltholes (not sure what those are about) to close the crack gap, then pulse-TIGging it and spot chroming it with something from Caswell's. Probably would have to polish the site to blend the new chrome into the old chrome.

Any thoughts? Would also appreciate a sense of what would be fair to charge for such work.
