    here is my coffee table. I used 1" x 1/8" flat for the frame and pine for the top. I prefer working with metal over wood anyday.

    nice coffee table. I have the welding book you have sitting out there. not much in depth but covered everything lightly. I picked up a Hobart Manual and it's definitely in DEPTH ...

      I like that book. I got it because I bought a oxy-acelene setup. That book and the instructions with the torch setup I managed not to blow myself up. I need to check out the Hobart one you are talking about.

        the hobart manuals are all process specific I just have the MIG one (GMAW) ... they were about $15 each, very in depth in the techniques of MIG welding. It looks like they're $17.50 each now. I highly recommend it.
