Saw a similar work stand a store called Tool Club (of course I'm a member). Went home and designed my own. The height is adjustable from standing to sitting heights using the hand screw. I put rubber pad in tray to protect finish and the deaden sound of tools being placed in a metal tray.
Base frame is 1/8" wall 1 1/4" square tubing. Vertical tube is 1/8" wall 1" and 1 1/4" square tubing that fit real nicely for the telescoping feature. I salvaged an old shelf turned upside down for top. Although I did cut and weld it to the size I desired. I welded up most of the holes in shelving piece, but left a few open for future bolt on attachments or little tie downs. Used square tubing 1" to provide support under the table and the a plate to attach top to vertical support.
