  • TIG torch holders?

I would appreciate some ideas about making a TIG torch holder. At school they had spring clips (office supply store type large paper clips) with one of the lever parts screwed to the side of each booth and we slid the long plastic part of the torch between the jaws of the clip. It worked but was a little awkward. At home (I'm a hobby welder) I use the "lay it over anything I hope won't move" and hope I don't break the cup if it slips method.
Thanks to all and a Happy and a Safe New Year to each of you and yours.

A couple of 1/2" conduit clamps, the ones with one screw hole, should do the job. You could hang it horizontally or vertically, depending on your work area.

John, this is what I use. If you don't have your machine close then you could make any configuration you like. Not sure this will help you. This is 1/2 " tubing with some brackets formed up and TIG welded to the tubing. Used some 1/4 " round stock and formed for the holder. Easy to make. I like easy.
      Hope this helps you.
