        image 4- last

A birthday gift to a friend (much older than I am). The "55" is stainless steel. Fits into hole drilled into the hand. When birthday wears off some other type of pennant or object could replace the "55".

          Dave,

love your little spike guys... now I've got to bring home a keg of RR spikes from work and get welding... I've got a friend with a 60 birthday coming up and a patio... good idea for a gift

Dave, I loved the cowboy. What did you use to make the hat, head, neck, and bandana out of?

                gnewby,

On the Redneck, there is no head....red neck..ha ha.. just HR steel, round stock.

Hat brim and bandana are of brass shim stock. I used a copper pipe cap for the sides/top of hat. The lariat is twisted copper cable.

He's very unique looking. I have made several yard guard birds using shovels, rakes, and rebar etc. I have seen a few of the yard guard birds made from railroad spikes.
