I build a barbque every now and then. i usually start by looking at some of the models in places such as walmart, then on to the propane dealers, and finally looking around specialitie welding shops in the country. taking a little from everything i see, i usually come up with one that works and was very fun to build.

Lincolnelectric.com has plans for a BBQ grill called Texas BBQ grill its made from a 55 gal. drum and framework is welded and assembled around it. You might check it out.
