No matter how hard I try to convince him that a BLUE machine is better, he still wants thered machine. Last year, his Christmas list had a Lincoln SP 175 on it, and after seeing your machine he asked if he was going to get his RED welder for Christmas this year.As far as Blue or Red goes I guess my choice was based on my having an ole Lincoln A/C 225 buzz box has served me well. You know I bet you could get him a blue one and just paint it RED. I had two daughters and they just never really got into much of what I was doing in the garage. My oldest daughter went bow hunting for deer with me when she was only 10 and she remembers those times well....also she use to bass fish with me and out fish me everytime.
She especially remembers those times.
Cherish the times with your young ones because they go up and out before you know it.
Have fun

comment on pole barn
deere x guy
i saw your post that said you will have
a pole barn. the problem with those is
they are not big enough. i have a 30X50,
and it is full of my stuff. i was on a
tractor website, and the subject was pole
barns. question, how big should it be?
figure how much space you need, double it,
then add 30%. i thought this was funny, but
again, very practical. i wish i would have
done this. just my comments.
good luck with your projects.

Hey Guys....
how big should it be? there is a flaw in that formula !!!
figure how much space you need, double it,
then add 30%. ... that will tell you about half the space you really need !!
I've got a friend who started several years ago with 30x50x16h it's now at 30x100 with plans for another 50 soon.. he's added a rolling gantry crane in the front 50 and plans a lift or two in the new addition...
the more you got...the more you want/need
