  • Where do I find a Sky Crane?

I am very impressed with everyones projects.
I have been welding for a couple of beers now. Oops, couple of years now.
But on one project, I have been told, by she how must be obeyed, that I need a sky crane for the next project.
Where do I get a Sky Crane?

Also, I need to fill the blinker fluid on my car, too.

I'm afeared you're in the wrong geography. One fleet of them things is in Oregon, and the other fleet is in Niagra Falls.
Can you get a helium baloon instead?

          skyhook

Don't know about skyhooks or skycranes (other than tho one's that fly over my house now and then) but I saw a highly intellegent FBO lineman using the padeye remover the other day when I landed my Mach .96 172 at JFK the other day...

When you get the sky crane, make sure you have the proper tools to work on it: left-handed screwdrivers and metric crescent wrenches. A bucket of arcweld will come in handy for field repairs.

Off topic, but at work we ocasionally have to enter a bogus flight plan to test data connections. American Airlines honors 9999 as a valid flight to allow testing. Here is what we enter: AA9999 ***(site we are testing from)-ANC (Anchorage, Alaska) C-172 (cessna 172),600 knts, FL50 (50,000' flight level). We allways cancel the flight plan to avoid confusion, but if we forget, the data is so absurd no one should take it seriously.

One time I didn't think the flight plan took, and 5 hours later I hear somebody ask if american airlines really had direct flights to Alaska from Miami.

I think you can find sky cranes at the same store that sells tracer paint.

When I was an apprentice at a big enginering company, you would get sent to the central stores to "ask the storeman for a Long Stand"

Man, did I stand there for a long time.......
                          More tea anyone?
