Yup thats why I got my welder. I bought a rear bumper for my YJ, and the first time i actually used it, it turned up in a 45 degree angle. So I figure if I make my own it will be as strong as I WANT IT TO BE.... plus I want to add a tire carrier to it.

If you are interested you can go to www.kickstand.4mg.com photo page the teal YJ is mine.....

Hey Mike. I've been lurking here for a month and recently got a Handler 135 and am loving it. Can't keep it away from my Jeep ('87 XJ). Just converted a tire carrier to work on a new HD bumper. Next project will be a good transfer case skid plate instead of that "cheesegrater" from Jeep, and then maybe a front bumper. Have fun!

    I like this John !

reminds me of a conversation with my mom a while back. My dad was asking if I could weld something for him at my house and she says you know how to weld ? I reply ... yes ... She says are you good at it ? I reply ... well, in my experience there are good weldors and those good with a grinder and I am an expert with a grinder

    welcome from a newbie

    Mike,

I'm like you.... a newbie. These guys are the best and will never fail to answer a question for you... but be forewarned...sometimes it's with another question !! Lots of expertise and knowledge here for the asking...

We have similar welders... I've got a Hobart 'suitcase' unit... and I think it's also a 120... love it... it makes me act like I can really weld...

    welcome aboard
