How does it work? I see the two outside dies are moveable, but.....?? I've been wanting a good tubing bender for about a year now, and I'm the kinda guy who'll build a tool if at all posible, before shelling out the big bucks. This one looks like a do-it myselfer if I knew more about it.
The text mentions that he is copying "Ernies" tubing roller.
I can't fingure out which roller plans are Ernies. Lots of interesting stuff there though: http://www.metalworking.com/DropBox/

there's no real info to go with the pics but this is definitely a DIY bender, he built a sandrail with it:
Thanks Jack ,Bob and Roger for those links. That Ernie fella is quite an inventor ,as I've read a lot of posts in several different places on the web by him. Is he still around anywhere?
Could be wrong, but sounds like Ernie Leimkuhler. He is a regular on sci.eng.joining.welding newsgroup and at times on rec.crafts.metalworking. Ernie also has an extensive links page you might be interested in as it has a wealth of material that can be accessed. Also has a fairly extensive listing under the bender section.
