Headboard for the bedboard

1st weld project turned out OK thanks to info from this forum.

if you can't tell........ it's a headboard for my bed.

it's better than what I have now which is sheetrock

The first thing I thought of when I saw that is "That's REALLY dangerous!" LOL!

It looks really nice. It's an excellently excecuted first project.

that is really nice. did you make the fittings in the center or buy them. wife has been hinting for one

the scrolls are cast iron (or so they say) from King Metals and the pickets are 1/2 inch solid square rod.

2 inch square tube makes up the rest.

if you and your old lady make a spider on this bed, it ain't moving since this thing weighs a ton.

Nice looking headboard Crithpy. What gauge steel did you use?

the tube is 11 gauge but I think I could have used something thinner.

overbuilt as usual.

tuned out good...

now off to the shop for the footboard (footmetal).
