I posted a question a couple months ago for ideas for my son's Weblos den (just two boys!) welding project. We settled on a plinking target for BB guns or .22 ca. rifles. We used 1/2" rebar for the uprights. Large nuts for the pivot points and to hold the pivot in place, and large washers for the target itself. We ended up adding corner braces. The welded joints are not all that pretty, but that's how they learn!
