  • Welding Project Magazine?

Does anyone know of any kind of magazine or periodical that has welding projects in it for the home enthusiast? You know, like the kind that are available for woodworking enthusiasts. I've only been welding for a couple of years, and maybe in another 10 or so I might be able to make one weld good enough to not be ashamed to show you guys a picture... but I'm having a ball with my welders. I've learned a bunch from this forum, and would like to take this opportunity to Thank all of you folks for being so willing to share your experiences and advice with us newbies. It is much appreciated.

At any rate, I've looked at a few of the local book stores, and haven't found anything like what I'm looking for. Any of you folks know of any? Thanks in advance!

I`ve done business with this company and their service is great. Although its not a magazine they have plenty of books with enough projects to keep anyone busy. Click on products and pick a catagory. http://www.okdpm.com/tek9.asp?pg=default

Thanks for the reply Main. I will take a look at that site. I have ordered a couple of arc welding project books from the Lincoln site, and I have a couple of books written by Richard Finch that I bought online from Barnes and Noble that are pretty good. I also have a book I bought from the Miller site on Tungsten Arc Welding that is excellent. Sure wish there was a periodical I could subscribe to that would provide some welding project ideas each month, along with hints and tips for the home hobbiest like myself.

If I find any further info I'll post it here so everyone can benefit. Thanks folks.

I found this site with several trade journals available for free.

Might be aimed more at the professional than a hobby type.
