  • more tractor projects?

I really like the posts of tractor and farm stuff. Bitternuts recents post is awsome, and I will make one of those too for my JD 70.

Are there any more good tractor implements or farm aids out there that you guys can post?

What kind of projects do you want? Farm Show magazine has lots of them. Here is one of the most useful things on my farm. This box rides on the seat of my truck so hand tools are at hand. Its messed up a bit from a few busy days but makes it easy to insure I have what I need at hand without thinkng about it or rumaging thru other tool boxes. I customized it with pieces of conduit for nut drivers and cut slots for pliers, screw drivers, holders for bits, etc

Here are a couple that go on all our well used trucks. They are outside leads for jumper cable hookups so that you dont have to open truck hoods to hook on cables and to keep arcing away from the batteries on final connection.

One on another bumper. I use plastic electric boxes to insulate them and use a lug of any kind,, sometimes even just a bolt on battery terminal.

Sberry, I am shocked. I had you figured for a forklift battery connector kind of guy when it comes to jumper cables.
I still have a supply of military jumper connectors I use on everything.

I have 30 vehicles or equipment in service at any given time and stuff happens. Keys left on etc or failure.

We put this mirror on so my dad could see behind him while driving a shuttle at a tractor show. I think it will be left on for cultivating. I built the front end weight out of a well casing 20 yrs ago.

Sberry, where's the roll bar on that tractor?

Young Weaver, you just gotta accept the FACT, wimmen ain't from the planet Earth, and they cannot understand concepts like vehicles. Tires stay fully inflated automaticly in their minds.
Aan driving down the zipstrip seeing a car with a flat tire surrounded by 5 wimmen with cellphones to their ears would figure they are calling for road service, and to let their family know supper will be late. They are actually all calling girlfriends to find out how to talk that flat tire back full of air. You'll come to understand these things as and IF you grow older.

I removed glove box light, vanity mirror light, and dome lights to solve van's dead battery problems and gave her a flash light.

Be reasonable, and understanding, you'll eat a lot better.
Install a solar battery charger on the wiff's car, and order up a subscription to Shell Motor Club. OK, so my wiff still wakes me up to jump her car cause it's dead in the garage, naturally parked in the orientation I need 3 sets of jumpers to reach it, cause "I was right there, and the motor club would have taken time to get there".
When she was asked why she missed a meeting at the hospital, she informed the Doc who asked, "her car had coded, and although I had managed to acheive capture when I hit it with the paddles, she had then immediately transferred the car to surgery, where a battery transplant was performed." She assures me the Doc completely understood.
She ain't from the planet Earth, she comes from a planet that orbits diametricly opposite Earth called Oblivion.

A piece of 1" dowel or closet rod works well, too.

I actually keep a key to her car in my wallet because she has locked her keys in it so often.

                        Franz and Aaron
I cannot see how most women can lose their key chains with 50lb of crap hanging off them, I just about built a gantry crane over the key machine at work just to make em more keys.
My wife locked her keys in the house one day so I gets a call at work from a coworker of hers to come home and let her in.Good thing Paramedics carry portable radios or she would been up a creek.

You are the man! 30 vehicles and they all run at once.
I figgered the mirror was for watching the Internationals trying to keep up.
BTW good advertising for Do-It Best, thats a nice looking tool organizer a True Value tape would made that look tacky.

                          Newbie

Hi guys I am new to the forum.
I must admitt I have been lurking for awhile.

I have a HH135 not really sure how I went without a welder for so long.
Course it helps to have a son and son inlaw who weld.
Here are some pictures of some garden tractor things I made.

I guess I need to read more on the picture posting.

This board's FAQ should be specific about maximum picture attachment file size. Save picture as smaller size and minimum quality then it can be loaded to this board. If you have your photo already posted to your web space of a web photo scrap book then you can post it as a link.
Smaller files are much better for us with slow dial up web connections.

Hey Doog, Home of Little League, would that also be the place where they have the World Series, or 2 of them, depending on witch argument you listen to, as well as the home of Lycombing?
