I know what you mean. This has turned out to be very entertaining. Now Im trying to come up with another project that we could start after I complete this one. Anyone have an idea. It cannot be to complex or contain to many parts. I d like it to be another project that the novice can tackle.

The yellow lines roughly indicate were I ran a weld bead to secure the channel and flat bar peices. Please don t think that I m telling you were you are suppose to place your welds . Im just having some more discussion with you on how I choose to do my project.

I have most of the pieces and have welded the bed . I made a field decision to put the weld on the inside of the C5, rather than on the top as you did. It seemed to me to be easy to set up that way.

I haven't found material yet for the handles, tho.

I did figure out the flatbar to clamp to the table, as you mention. I'll get some pictures tomorrow.

I built the flat bar parts today, and I had to pull a scrapped old guard rail out of our Salvadge Yard that had some C5 on it, to make the bed parts. You'd think a plant this size would have a length of C5 somewhere, but noooo. I have to use garbage!

I think I have finally deciphered the principle of the tool, so now I can build it.

Well thank goodness I m not the only one that had to look through the junk pile to find a short peice of the 5" channel. I had at least a 10' length of new material for everthing except the 5" channel. I had 3" & 4" channel but no 5" channel. I ended up finding a peice on an old peice of farm machinery that my dad was scrapping out. It took me at least a half an hour to make it look like a shiny new peice of metal. After I got done I was thinking I should have just went to my local supplier and bought a length. That was way to much work for an 8 1/2" peice of metal.

If you ve got some parts made were are the pictures of them? This is going to be the real fun part for me to see how someone elses machine turns out. Hopefully, I will have mine completed on Saturday so that you can see the entire machine completed. There are still a couple of peices that you haven t seen yet. Don t worry, they are just some peices of flat bar that I weld to the parts that you have just completed. There purpose is to give you a surface for clamping the machine to your table. Well lets hope that I have given you guys enough help up to this point. I would have like to have went a lot more in depth, but I didn t want to take up a lot of space on this site. Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress.
