Here is the frame, complete except for the axle, coupler and a few minor details. I will post more pics as the project moves along.

Looks good. When I built my trailer I put the cross members under the top rail. I also extended out the middle cross members to attach my fenders to. Be sure to have a 60/40 ratio in your axle placement. I went 50/50 at first. It was kind of squirelly. I ended up cutting some off the back for a better ratio. I hope you are using a 220v welder to do this.
Yea, when I get the axle (hopefully this afternoon) I will put it in 60/40. I am using the MM210 for almost everything, I did have to use the Lincoln for two stick welds where the A-frame members meet the side members there was no room for the MIG. Both machines are 230 volt.
Good looking job. Jason. As an aside, if you ever need to, you can increase the strength by running another length of tubing, on top of, or underneath your first one, and by doing so increase the strength by a factor of 4 not just two.
Thanks guys! Everything is working out really well so far, that's where a little extra time planning pays off. The axle is a Dexter Torflex rated at 3500 lbs. The trailer is going to weigh about 600 lbs. or so, so 2900 lbs. of cargo.
Rocky, that's a good idea. I will keep it in mind for the next one (I will be building a flatbed sometime after this one is done).
Well, I picked up the axle this afternoon, along with all the other parts EXCEPT the axle mounting brackets! They are back ordered 'til the week after next so I guess it's on hold for a while.
Well, I couldn't wait two weeks for the axle brackets (and my wife couldn't wait to start parking in the garage again) so I made some.

Cope, thanks, the walls will be framed with 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" 14 ga. tubing. The skin will be .032" aluminum sheet. The inside of the walls will be covered with 1/4" plywood for shear strength. The floor will be 3/4" plywood.
