  • Another of Gary's amazing inventions (barbed wire dispenser)

One thing my husband Gary HATES doing is working on fences, and he has nearly a full-time job keeping up with my 6 horses, 5 goats, 4 sheep and, of course, 3 llamas! So he invented this neat doohickey that lets him reel out barbed wire off the back of the tractor. It is mounted on the 3-point hitch so it can be raised or lowered as needed.

He also made the T-post pounder and made a place for it to hang on the back of the barbed wire dispenser. The black bin, which also is mounted on the dispenser, is for fence insulators, pliers, etc. The man thinks of everything. That is one of the things I like about him...

LM, on the horizontal member between the roll of wire and the conduit elbo, there are 4 or 5 chrome objects showing. Are these small spools, similar to sewing thread spools, that serve to straighten the wire? If so, could we have detail shots showing how they are built to permit the barbs to pass?

By the way, just out of curioscity, do Lammas eat poison ivy, and what the heck do you use lammas for? Besides mothering them that is.

I blew it up, Franz...looks like just bolts to me. Don't have anything to do with the wire. I had my tri-goggles on, too.

I tried that blowup thing, and put my monogoggles to it, and I can't tell what they are, but please oh great lightning god, don't let it be bolts.
