  • cutting old propane tanks

I know old propane tanks have been transformed into barbeque grills a thousand times. My tank is 57 gallons and has been empty and had the valves off for quite a while. I want to attach a 30lb cyliners to the side for a fire box.

What safety precautions should I take before cutting into it? I'll likely be using a metal cutting blade on a grinder or maybe even a sawsall. Any info or threads are appreciated.

This subject was hammered on a couple of weeks ago. Do a search and it should pop back up.
