  • Welding on TV

Today at 12:30 PST, I watched as the DIY channel demo'ed a Miller 135. It was a basic homeowner/hobbiest demo, heavy on safety issues, safey gear, and they welded some angle iron. It was part of the automotive bodyworks section and only lasted about 10 minutes. The fun part was the use of a Miller 135 running flux-cored wire. They didn't demo a Lincoln or a ESAB and stated that the Miller was the most popular welder for DIY home use. Way to go Miller.

        Rock,
They had a great shot of a 251 on American Chopper last night. They also showed their big Hobart tig welder. It was yellow and pretty big.
