  • Corner shelf

My wife wanted me to make a shelf or something so that she could put some of her dolls on. She's got a LOT of dolls so this is just the first one. First I spent a little time drawing out the plans since overall it makes much easier for me.

I used 1 inch square tubing and the shelf is 7 feet tall.

CPB, nice job. What are the shelves made of? What welder?

I forget what it's called Cope but it is that pressed wood dust that is sold at Lowe's and Home Depot. It cuts really good without splintering and is used in cabnet making. The welder is a 110v Lincoln Weld-pack 100 which is pretty good for small jobs that a hobby welder might have but it really is limited. I'll probably sell it in a couple of years and get in the range of a MM-210.

Nice set up, just from the pic looks like pretty complex cuts to obtain the angles.

Did you make a jig to hold the sec during tac ups?

              Nice work.

Nice job, CPB...looks like those shelves could hold a 300 pound doll! Why did you use 1" stock?

Thanks for the complements guys. The reason I used 1" tubing was that I had some in my garage. What the heck. I'll probably make one more corner shelf then try to think of some other design. LOTS of dolls...
