Hey Cope,
The trailer is coming along very nicely. I've about finished all the fabrication on the trailer itself including the fenders (driver side removable) and the rear clearance lights/folding license plate mount.
If it's nice out tomorrow, I'll drag it outside and shoot a couple more pics...overall shots and also some of the detail stuff like the license plate mount, removable fender, etc.
I am at the point to where I'm gonna call the blasting shop Monday and try to schedule a date to take it in for blasting. Once that's done, it'll go in our shop for painting. After it's painted, the last things to complete will be the electrical wiring and lights.
I also have the tool box to complete, but that will have to wait till fall/winter.Last edited by 10secBu; 04-19-2003, 05:10 PM.

Ok, here's alist of links to the most recent progress pics on the trailer. It's basically ready to go out for blasting, then paint.

That looks great! You really have done a wonderful job on that. I have a 30 footer to build this summer if I can find the time and money. Mine is for the tractor and the plow trucks. If thay should brake down in the winter with the plow on. I would like to get the whole truck and plow on the trailer with out half hanging off. I hope I can get mine half as nice as yours.
Keep up the great work!

Todd, that's mighty impressive, both the fabrication and the welding.
Doubt you can find that kind of trailer from many mass manufacturers, and if you did you would pay way more than you have in yours.
Can't wait to see the finished product. If Will and crew could just drive over from Michigan, you could get the tool box finished before summer.
OMS, I'm sure you can do a more than half good job yourself.

Impressive fit and finish on the trailer.
I knew of a guy just north of you in Pa. that did work like that 30 years ago, his craftsmanship made him famous in the motor sports circle. With continued work like yours, you could make a very handsome living at something you enjoy.
I like your work, keep the photos coming.work safe, always wear your safety glasses.

Thanks everyone. It's a great feeling to have your peers respect and like your work...especially since I'm just an enthusiast, not a full time fabrication/welder.
For me, what's most enjoyable about this stuff is pushing your own skills and always trying to improve your techniques or ideas.
The tool box has been pushed back as a priority as I am currently spending over $1800 making changes to my car to make it street legal. The tool box needs, doors made, some kind of hinges, sheet aluminum for the shelves & outer skin. I also need to buy the winch which is due to the fact that it goes inside the tool box and has a metal cover to protect it. All this has to be done at the same time, which means I gotta save about $750 or so to say it will be complete.

Hello 10m Sec,
I've got to say you did a great job. Do I understand cope's last post of a 251 , do you have a miller 251 if so I just added one and it seems to be a decent machine so far , I think soon I'll add a spool gun.
Although machine stopped welding other day and I think it was saying help and a code. Next time I'll look up code I believe I ran it past duty cycle.
Anyhow nice trailer.Jerry Streets
