  • Proud Dad

This has nothing to do with welding but it seems like I know you guys so well so when I saw what my son had done I wanted to share it with someone. He is in the eigth grade and I had no idea that he thought of things like this much less wrote about them. These days you wonder about our children and what will happen to our country when they take over, maybe there is hope yet.

    WHO AM I"

I sit up high upon my throne,

And ponder upon the days gone by,

I whip, and crack, and snap about,

As the wind goes round and round.

I represent faith, glory, and hope,

    I'm a symbol for millions,

I'm like the men that fight for you,

Except i've never fought a war.

On days of sad and mornful thoughts,

I'm lowered to my knees to cry,

Though I have no face or limbs,

Many people see me as another guy.

Sitting high I start to sing,

A song of great pride and honor,

I'm red, white, and blue throughout,

But ask yourself, who am I?

Skinner, you've got a lot to be thankful for. Very insightful young man. You need to treat him to a welding hat!

        Kudos to Dad.

Raising kids is no easy job.

About 12 to 18 their brains drop and all heck breaks loose. Our daughter was such a handful ... she snaped back about 17. Very abrupt change on both ends, like a switch got throw and later put back.

Skinner, this young lad is a fine example of good parenting! You have done/are doing your job well, Dad...this is truly inspirational....thank you for sharing.....buy him an ice cream cone for me!

Better yet, get him into politics...we need a leader with that kind of insight!
