  • sled lift project

I did not have in process pictures, just final project picts.

    I'll post those next.

This was my first true welding project. I used the HH 175 at work. I loved it so much I went and bought my own welder!

This lift works good for ATVs also!

    Enjoy

                maxwell,
what software are you using for your cad drawings? Nice iso and material listing.

                  Hi all,

Thanks for the praise. The software i used was Solidworks. It is a pretty powerful solid modeler that has decent 2D detail capabilities.

This design is my "reverse engineered" version of units that are available for around $300 bucks.

It will lift a 650 lb sled about 24" of the ground. And will collapse to about 3" off the ground.

I use it for service my snowmobiles and for storage (takes the weight off the suspension).

If I build another one I'd think about using a 1/2" drill for the raise and lower. (still might modifythis version)

                  Maxwell

P.S. I am interested in the following projects and would enjoy your input, experiences and/or plans:

                  1) Welding table
                  2) Tube bender ( need this for the next project)
                  3) Go-Cart
                  4) Bike rack for receiver hitch

This welding table was posted here. I still don't remember who originally posted it, but he will come forward and tell you.
