My first useful weldment is a belt shield for my Atlas Model 64 drill press. Not painted yet.
Atlas made the model 64 from 1946 to 1949. Picked this up at a garage sale ... rusted and neglected. Overhaulled everything. It needed a return spring which I was able to kludge using a part from a modern Sears drill press. It finally has a belt guard.
It has made my life more "hole-ly".
Atlas sent me a really nice 11x17 double sided "Instruction and Parts List".
(this picture came our really tall, should have pasted up side by side)
