Ring Roller

Hi,

I posted this before but I'll save you the hassle of looking for it. A few points:

1. I like Arbo's design better so you may want to wait for his drawings.

2. I think a key to my design and Arbo's is that the rollers are supported on both sides. It makes the machine stronger but the downside is that if you roll a complete circle you have to take the machine apart to get the piece out. Probably a good tradeoff if you're not in high volume production.

3. Arbo used a pipe coupler that actually threads onto the pipe nipples. My rollers are a slip fit. My approach is a bit of a hack but has the advantage of allowing for longer rollers so you could do wider but thinner material.

It's not so much the size of the rolls, but how they are positioned together. I just finished building one last week, If you check back thru this forum, there are some pics of it. I am planning to post some drawings soon. I just haven't found the time to do it yet.
