Plasma cutter and abrasive cutoff saw is best used outside. Welding can be done inside. Exhaust tube placed next to weld minimizes cfm air exhaust required.

I would place welders next to door to slab with roof and 3 walls to stop/reduce wind and rain. Outlets for welders and grinders on patio. That's all you really need for welding in Louisiana and keeps rusting steel stains from grinding dust off your wood projects.

    Ventilation

    I am planning a multi-purpose workshop . . .

Current size slab (foundation) 20' X22'

    Plans definitly call for 10' ceilings . . .

    Double 3' doors on front & a single 3' door on rear . . .

    Will be insulated & sound proofed . . . .

Want to be able to Air Condition it since I live in Louisiana . .

Want to do some wood working . . . . simple stuff

Welding, mostly square tube type stuff . . .

Plan to run a MIG ( Flux Core & Gas)

    Stick occasionally . . . .

Plasma cutter coming soon also . . .

How much ventilation do I need for the welding . . .

    Any suggestions would be appreciated . . . .

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve
