Say, do we always have to ask a question?
I was reading about the differences in the MM and the HH machines and was reminded of the old Hobart 300amp DC machines, I used out in the boat yard, years ago. We would come on site around day break, and it would be really wet with dew, right on the San Diego bay, certain times of the year. When we would plug on our machines into the 480v they would explode with a defening bang! But always after the sun came out and warmed them up, they would run all day...day after day! Those machines were WWII vintage and they kept on running, and running and running...The Energizer Bunny had nothing on those old work horses!
Any body remember them?
