new Dynasty 200 series

Hey Rock,

I see a Dynasty 200 series advertised on Cyberweld.com but there is nothing on the Miller website about it yet. What are the duty cycle and the input power requirements?

Bill,I don't know how many amps it draws,but one thing is really cool about it.How about this 120/240/480 volts-1/3 phase auto link.Output 1-200 amps.

I spoke with one of the factory guys at the PRI show and can tell you that he told me it would be out in a month or so. It was supposed to be done already but they had to iron out some problems. They made it to compete with the Red VT-205 and it appears that they made it well and cheap enough too. Miller usually has the info on their site a few days after the product is out. That really shows me what is more important to them. What more could you ask for? They really work on the product more than the marketing.

It is in the new 2003 catalog that I picked up at the local Miller dealer last week. If your local dealer does not have the new catalog, I can post some specifications if you need 'em.

I stopped by my local welding store today and got a copy of the literature. Only marginally more performance over a 180SD, but twice the price???

Probably a great machine for the 40 hours a week professional, but WAY too expensive for a home user/hobbyist...

Cyberweld has the SX model for under $2100. I know that is just for the machine, but everyone needs to tell their significant other that the extra money is necessisary because it is so much smaller and the extra efficiency is needed to save money on the electric bill.
