    Both of those are great ways to remember it! I used a label maker to (semi) permanantly label the polarity switch on my welder to avoid any confusion.

    The way I remember polarity is by thinking of politicians - Senators and Representatives.

    REP = Reverse Electrode Positive

    SEN = Straight Electrode Negative

    Ed, I just use the windows clipboard...Ctrl+C for copy, and Ctrl+V for paste. Is that what you're asking?

    Ed, you can fool the system by searching for arc* or mig* or whatever. I ran into that right away, it worked great!

    reverse polatity= positive electrode
    search for thread 'amp question', chip hayden had a good answer there
    apparently the search engine in this forum won't allow the use of a word shorter than 4 letters, therefore, searching 'amp' won't work.
    thread dates from 10-08 -02, started by 10FOLD.
    I wish I knew how to pull quotes from one thread and paste them to another!
