Is the Hobart 175 right for me or do I need to go to a Miller

I have a Betamig 200. In 15 years I only have used 3 positions of a 1 to 9 voltage switch.

True on the switch, or POT. The 4 position POT is designed to help novice weldors, and the variable is better suited for pro's who like to be more critical on the heat.
So I guess thw bottom line is personal choice, and only you can answer that one.

HI NICK......WELL FOR THE STANDARD ROLL CAGE THE MM175 OR THE HANDLER 175 WILL BOTH WORK...........BODY PANELS, ETC YES IT WILL WORK.......FOR THE BRACKET'S DO YOU KNOW THE SIZE OF THE METAL. Is the Hobart 175 right for me or do I need to go to a Miller?
I am looking for a welder that will be adjustable so I can do the following projects. I need to install a rollcage in my racecar and install subframe connectors and last I need to weld small brackets.
I have been told that the Hobart has a 4-way switch and the Miller has a variable switch for Amperage.
Will I be satisfied or should I move on?????
