Any ideas about tungsten grinders? I am a hobby welder (all the more reason that I need all the help I can get!) and would like to cut down the time I spend grinding tungsten rods into interesting and less than ideal shapes.
    Thanks,
    John

    follow-up ?

arc-zone.com has a portable tungsten grinder for $225. Any experience with these folks? Any comments/experience regarding their portable tungsten grinder product?
    Thanks,
    John

Yeah, John, I bought one. Only because I do critical aircraft type welding. For the hobbyist, I would say save your money. You wouldn't probably notice the difference, that I do on the tedious small stuff. So, if you're not doing Xray, or food grade, or tiny stuff, use a belt sander. We gotta use common sense here. I used a belt sander and disk sander to sharpen tungsten for 40 years, and I've had to be certified Xray, Mil Spec and FAA every 6 months, (now it's 90 days), and never had a problem doing it.

As ROCK would say...Your Call, your $$$
