  • Mig Guns

It's time for a replacement gun. Not a huge deal. But in searching the web to find a price average before calling around on monday I noticed that welding-direct.com (http://www.welding-direct.com/m25250ampmig.html) has "Miller/Hobart style" guns at a significantly cheaper price than a Miller manufactured gun. Anyone have any experience with these? It would be nice to pay less because the names not on it if the qualities decent.

You should check on shipping I have herd there is no price difference if you include shipping charges with welding-direct.com and they never answer my Emails for shipping charges I have never ordered from them just something you should beware of and I would like to now how others experiences have be with them

Thats interesting. I'd hate to order it and have them tack on another $150 in shipping for a 15' gun.

I have ordered several things from welders-direct and have had good luck with them. They never over charged me for shipping or anything else. The reason that their stuff is cheaper is that it is made by NuTecSystems. They are usually US made stuff that is not the "name brand" that you are used to. Oh by the way, welders-direct is just their name for NuTekSystems mail order name.

OOPS Yes we are talking about the same place. Too many companies with similar web sites. Sorry for the confusion.

http://www.welding-direct.com/ is Nu-Techsys Corp. I've ordered stuff from them 3 times. Never had a problem except last order. They shipped 2lb. instead of 10lb. roll of wire. One call and they corrected immediately. Shipping on 15 lbs. of stuff via UPS was $8.94 to Texas from Illinois. Normal shipping charges. I've purchased the liners and tips for Miller M15 gun and they are of equal quality as the original. All of the wire has been Blue Demon brand. They do have a $50.00 order minimum.
