Since I know one of you youngsters will get to thinking about using a welder to roast a turkey, I figure I can save a lot of time and effort.
Yes, it can be done, figure about 5 amps per pound and 20 hours of roasting time. Do NOT cover with aluminum foil, and remember to disconnect the power before basting.
The photo is of a prototype electroroasting a buddy of mine did with his 1930s DelcoLite generator a few years back.. Since then, we have refined the process considerably.
