Nice job. Sparksinmysocks reminds me of a welding burn I received 30 years ago. Still have a mark on my left foot from slag that burned through my sock.

Yup, looks good. There might be times I might buy the factory gear, if time was a real big issue and setting up a machine in someone elses shop and to get a move on, but building your own is the way to go, you can keep adding or changing too,, dont paint yet,,, ha

Thats not as bad as about thirty some years ago when I was skinny. I was cutting off a Safety valv,e on a on a boiler, in a destroyer, with a torch. There was barely room to get between the steam drum and the uptake. I had to lay down and crawl in to get at the valve. Of course a chunk of slag bounced off the overhead and went down the back of my shirt, burning all the way down. I think I must have set a record of crawling back out to the front of the boiler. seemed like forever with that chunk burning to get out, as I was standing up it fell out of a hole it burned in my shirt, and fell down to the lower level and I guess into the bilge. I've still got the scar, among many.
