    Jim,

I paid the same $5 bill for one for my Jackson Master HTLS. I'm hopeing that this one is three times better. I'll bet its the same only different, thinner on the sides so it fits the helmet. Well thats what you get for not being satisfied with what you have

It is a tad on the stiff side, so I coil it up into a 3' diameter coil before storing it. The only other down side was having to cut about 6" off each end before wiring up the new plug and recepticle. I hated to waste so much good cord, but it had a crimp in it where it went into the cable connectors on each end of the run.

I'm certain you will like the Satellite. It is a sweet hood.

Wow 14.95 for a cheater lense! that must be special for the Optral. I bought a 2.0 diopter for my next gen at my local guy for 4.95.
You'll really like being able to see again, wouldn't trade mine for anything.

    Jim

    Axe,

I ordered one this morning thru Ebay, then called the store and gave them my Visa number, then told them what color I wanted (blue), ordered a pack of 5 lens covers (ouch), and a 1.50 cheater (two ouches). The guy said it will be shipped on UPS today. So until it gets here I will have to use some old cardboard 3D movie glasses I got back in the fifties...NOT

    Aaron,

Congrats, you got about the best deal on a cord ever, I think

I didn't demo the house! Read it again!

I actually pretty much restored the house. It was litterally falling in on itself, and the renovation required completely gutting the place. Apparently, the previous owner had a welder, or other large machine, as this cord was run from the electrical panel to the garage. The new owner wasn't remotely interested in keeping it, so I pulled it out.

You demolished someone's house just to get an extention chord for your welder, shame on you But I gotta say you sure are dedicated to welding

I happened to have a piece of 6-3 wire about 50' long I pulled from a house I was remodelling, and I remembered it when I was looking for extension cords. So for about $20, I got a 50' 6-3 cord. Not bad, but those deals are harder to come by.

I got a 25' 8-3 cord complete with both ends a couple years ago at a Country General store for $49.99! Great deal! Oh, and they're out of buisness now.

The one I have for my Jackson has thick sides so maybe the one you have from Harris is made to fit the Optrel. BTY, that extension coord is very nice for $69 to the door. If I were to make one from 10/3 and the ends it was going to close $70 for a 30' one. This one is all molded with rubber ends and looks to be excellent quality. And 25' will get me out to the street, I won't be welding in the street anytime soon I hope unless my wife kicks me outta the house AND the garage, Ha...
George, its a steal. I paid $40 for 25' of 8-3 and then paid another $20-something for the plug and recep. Figure in labor and I was in the hole. If I do it again I will buy the ready made.

George, I had called Optrel and they told me about the cheaters. I asked Bob at BR and he had them. I know what you mean about getting old.
