  • Air Compressors...Again

Just thought I would throw in my two cents on the air compressor discussion that has been popular lately. I recently needed a new compressor as my antique that I was running finally went to the grave yard. I had been shopping around for a few weeks, and stopped in at Tractor Supply last week. They have an Ingersoll Rand, 60 gallon tank, three HP (7.9 peak), 11 CFM @ 90psi, 135 psi max. It is a special anniversary edition that was made for Tractor Supply. It came with an air ratchet, and a butterfly impact for $465.00. The exact same compressor painted IR beige, and without the tools was $599.00. It was a no-brainer for me, as the only other unit I could find was a Campbell Hausfeld in my price range. I have been running it with my DA sander at 80 psi, and it is keeping up without any trouble. Just thought I would share this info, in case anybody wants to check it out.

Thanks for the post Arbo. I was looking at that very same compressor just last week. I was trying to figure out why the price difference between the two paint jobs. I had my hand in my pocket to get that plastic card out but was suspicious and could not quite get my hand out of my pocket. I noticed the one with the red paint had a tsc on the label and was trying to figure out why it was cheaper than what appeared to be an identical model with a beige paint job. Plus like you said you got a bonus of some air tools with the red paint. Seems to good to be true. Maybe there is such a thing as a free lunch.

Hey......maybe they will get some Dynasty200 DX's with a red paint job and a bonus 375 plasma cutter. How about it ROCK?

Glad you like your new compressor Arbo. Guess I will have to go back and take another good look.

I just bought that compressor too. I'm happy with it.

mine primarily runs a mist coolant system on my mill, and blows chips off the work.

mine wasn't the aniversary with the ratchet, but the same compressor.
