All Lincoln feeders have a Tweeco back-end now,but use to have their own style.Just order a gun with the Lincoln back-end,and you won't need any adapters.

I think Miller is the last hold out on going to the Tweeco back end.Esab,Lincoln,Thermal has.

QUALLS.........Well for an M-25 gun onto the ln-25 use adapter 201724, for a Piecemaker 20a onto a ln-25 use 177518h adpater, and for a benard gun q-200 there are also adapters available.....

Your call just more options.......................Be safe..........Rock..

I think venture could be onto to it, shoot us a pic of the drive roll assembly with the gun attatched.

    The problem could be there,

Sounds like it's missing the guide tube, Cut a piece of old liner off and stick it in where the guide tube is supposed to go (Between the gun and drive rollers. This will prevent the bird nesting.

    LN 25 gun

The gun fits the LN 25 fine. It functions fine except for wadding the wire up inside the feeder. It is the right size to fit inside the feeder. The LN 25 I have did come over on the Mayflower.

Hate to bust your bubble, but I dont think thats the right gun for the LN 25. The ends on a gun are pretty big, and they do not fit any smaller wire feeders from lincoln.

The gun for the LN 25 that we run will only fit thise machines, someone may have put this gun on the machine for a quick sale.

I will take a couple of picks of what the ends on mine looks like for you.

Any Lincoln Magnum gun will fit, I think it's merely a tweco input, so any 300 amp tweco gun will fit.
A clone gun with a tweco input and a Bernard end comes in at $225 Canadian. If you have to pay more than that Email me and I'll ship one out to you. There doesn't appear to be any duty to the states, and shipping is slight

My guess, there is brass fitting crimped onto end of liner at welder end. Is that rear attachment your talking about?
Might be able to machine brass sleeve to adapt standard linner to that gun.

Attached are a couple of digital pictures of unknown Lincoln gun. The tag has no model but says 350 amps and says ".030, .045, etc "with proper liner and tip". Note big rear end on gun.

I would e-mail a photo to Lincoln and ask them about the liner. It could save you a couple of hundred bucks. I have had excellent service from Lincoln tech.

    good luck,

    Gun for LN 25

The gun on the wire feeder is a very old Lincoln. It has no model number and is a gun with gas nozzle. I took it to the local BOC Gases dealer and they said they could not match the liner at first. Then they put it in a vice and ruined the old liner pulling it out. Then they spent 2 months determining they did not know what liner to use. Then I took it back and the manager looked at it and said that model had a liner that could not be replaced. The rear attachment is a bigger diameter than any they had in their book. I guess I could post a digital picture.

Seeing how you seem to be running flux core wire only, it won't make sense to buy a gun for mig welding with gas, that big old nozzle is just an obstruction. The 350 amp Lincoln flux core gun is the standard of the industry. It cost's quite a bit more than you paid for your feeder tho! I can't comment on aftermarket guns as Lincoln is all we use.
What brand do you have now?
