  • Used Welding Machinery

Thought this might be a useful thread.

I have a 300 ST Pow Con which will DC Tig or Stick. Unit is single phase and has 2 year old Bernard water cooler on a purchased welding cart. I paid $1500.00 sell for 1,000.00

I have two of these units, yet only selling one, and this unit can be ran on single or three phase power. Only reason of selling one is to add another AC-DC unit for aluminum. Presently I have three tig machines two Pow Cons and one Miller Sncrowave 250.

Parts can be purchased at Arc Products for these machines as I have repaired my Pow Con 300 SM ( stick & mig )

    PS: (GREAT MACHINES)

    I will attach picture later.

Nice machine, I have one and they do work great, however I do not need a replacement yet.

Are for sale adds allowed here? Frowned upon? Encouraged?

        thanks,

Bernie, not an expert, just an admirer. If I had Jerry's money I would have a shop full of them.

I really didn't want to post anything until I heard if it was OK or not but I'd like to get rid of the Hobart 2510 discussed in another thread. A retired man bought it in 2000, and soon after had a stroke and died later. He only built a trellis with it so's it has only a few hours, less than 5. Has wheels, bottle rack, small bottle, gun, extra drive rolls, a spare cup, several tips, an almost full roll of wire, gage, a 25' HD extension cord, and a cheap hood. E-mail me for pictures and details.

Cope or Pow Con pro would be much better at this than I would be, yet they are a inverter style multi process welder with a lot of power. When I say multi-process I mean you can tig and stick weld and some you can also mig. I have two machines that are the 300 ST stick & Tig and one 300 SM stick & mig. They will run on single or three phase power.

A while back Cope did a thread on the Pow Con machine history. I think maybe a couple months back. ( very Informative)

                        Sorry Jerry

I have you beat, in the line ups, I wish I could take another under my wing. The pow con I have is a SM-200 and is a great set up.

We use it all the time, switching from mig to stic is great as I have a cable splice on the feed to the wire feeder to a rod lead.

Never have to unplug just swithc from wire to stick, fast starts with that ticking sound.

I use the machine for hanging pipe, as we can cut hangers with cut rod then weld them up with the feeder.

                        System works great.

                        Bernie
