    Sorry guys I've been searching this morning on this site and can't find anything to tell me at what setting is best for the 1/16 6013's. I've not used these before and could use this info.

    Thanks,
    JAW

    Lincolns site lists amperage ranges for all rods, go to :
    Choose the Lincoln Electric web site for your country or region to find the best selection of welding equipment, welding wire and electrode, welding safety equipment, weld fume control, and welding automation systems.

    to answer your specific question,
    ac = 20-45 amps
    dc = 20-45 amps

    Best of luck, BW

        I've run this on a Lincoln AC225, which gave me a choice of 40 or 50 amps. I found that 50 ran better, with less sticking and outages, but maybe the voltage at my site is a tad low. I haven't checked the volts, but I tend to like the way all the rods run at the upper end of the range on this machine.

          I 'd say between 60 and 80 amps would be where I'd start at, and adjust yourself.

            Thank you for all replies. I will be welding a cracked place in the door of my van. I was told this was the rod to use. We'll see. Again I appreciate ya.
