  • 4 1/2" flap disc

    can someone tell me is the zirconia flap disc is that much better than the aluminum oxide disc.i can purchase the aluminum for 1/2 the price of the zirconia.will mostly be used for cleaning up rusted parts & cleaning up welds.

    the zir is alot better than the alum oxide. I ordered alot of the zir and ceramic grains. I could not see a difference in the quality of the grind between the zir vs. cer. Honestly the zir. did last longer on mild steel. I would buy from them again. As for the quality of the disc. They are great. They last about 90% of the life of the $8 discs. So for $1.77 they cant be beat.

          has similar flap discs at similar prices. Maybe someone can compare the two.
          I've used one bullet zirc disc, which worked well, but I don't know how it compares to other discs.
