Well I finally made it to the Empire Farm Show yesterday. It was huge. Don't know why I waited so long to get there. The amount of equipment on display is overwhelming. Started at the South end and took the whole day to get to the North end. Missed a lot I am sure because there was so much to see. It was a perfect day weather wise and I am sure I will attend again next year.

There were a lot of factory semi-trailers from big name companies but sadly no Miller truck. Seems as though I saw more Lincoln stuff actually. With the amount of farm related equipment and farmers in attendance I don't understand the logic of Miller's marketing people. Maybe they should look at what all that farm equipment is made out of and who is there looking at it. I think the stuff is metal and and the people there looking at it are the ones who are breaking it and needing to make repairs. Gee, I bet they all have a welder sitting in the barn, ya think. Duhhhhh

Oh well, enough complaining I guess. I did find one Miller distributor there that had some welders set up to try. Got to try a Dynasty 200 on 1/8" aluminum. It was a butt joint and it welded up real nice. The wife was impressed enough to say that I should get one and that she wants to learn how to use it also. Hmmm, that means I would have to share. Not good. Hey ROCK!!!, how about sending me a matching pair of end tables to test. You know, the blue ones with 200 DX on them.

OH!!, and another thing. My ITW hat worked real good for keeping the sun out of my eyes all day. Only one guy at the Miller dealer recognized the hat. They must be scarce around their area also.

Another bright spot of the day is that I came away from there with at least a dozen project ideas. It looks like a busy winter coming up. I will have to get some heat in the garage this winter for sure. It seemed like everything I looked at I was saying, hmmmmm, I can make one of those.

Shoot Rocky, I can't do that. I'm afraid to set foot in CaliFOOEY cause with my luck the whole dang state would fall off. My last visits there were to Port Heuinimi and Frisco, and those places left me with a bad taste.
Could you just bring the hat along with those 500 pounds of rivets and 12 cases of airplane stickum? Or, if it would help you, I can call my neighbor and see if he can swing by withthe 18 wheeler, but he'll try to conn you out of sheet aluminum.

Rocky, I'll take that deal, if you can give me payments over the next 66 months at 0% intrest, or float me a loan for $40-, witch I will of course pay back as soon as it's convenient.

Aaron with all your computer expertise, you oughta be able to check the stock price and P&L statement for the parent company of Miller and Hobart.
If they're showin a profit, they can definitely afford hats for us, cause God knows us New York Taxpayers can't afford anything. If it cost a nickle to **** we'd have to throw up since Hillopotomous solved all our problems.
We gotta keep the pressure on all these Experts, one of them will crack. Even the ROCK of Gibraltar cracked, not to mention all the tunnels the Brits drove into that ROCK.
ROCK needs to remember immovable objects will either be broken or ground to dust.

Never did understand the big hullabalu over a jean jacket or a hat. You can buy the jacket or hat online at the miller website---Hobart or Miller--hats are anywhere from 3.50-9.00 bucks. Geez, I would think even new yorkers could afford that.
