Hey there Rocky, sorry to pop your bubble but I was there last year, last year we stayed west of the mighty Mississippi and this year staying to the east. Plan's for next year are still in the work's. Hang in there and keep arcin/sparkin

Rocky there's probably 2 big rreasons they won't come to CaliFOOEY.
First there would be some dang polution inspector from CalTran or some environmental agency all over the truck for permite; And secondly, if they switched on all that BLUE power, it might just shake toe state loose, or worse yet, require the building of a new generator plant or transmission line.

If you want to take a nice scenic ride I'll be in Pleasanton (just North of San Jose) at the Good Guys West Coast Nationals August 21-24. I won't have the truck there with me but we'll have lots of equipment for you to try out.

The Miller demo truck I saw didn't require electricity from power mains because all welders aboard were powered by generator.
(Generator, Gen set; Engine rotates copper coil through magnetic field to produce electricity) .

Sorry to hear that the big blue truck won't be at the farm show. That was one of the reasons I had plans to go. The sad part is that I had momma interested in letting me get a new DYNASTY 200 DX. Oh well, such is life I guess.

Now lets not go pickin on the Shrub, just think how bad things could be if the alternative had got elected. ****, that clown is hiding out after flunking out as a halfassed professor, and we are still stuck with 34 watt 4 foot flourescent tubes because of him, along with a few dozen other nitwitt conservation ideas.
CaliFOOEY is so smart with their energy policy they probably won't let the big blue truck run it's onboard generator. A year or so back, one of my buddys was sent by Caterpiller from Ancorage to Washington to spend his days watching the fleet of rental power trailers in Seattle that were there to sell power to Gray Out, cause CaliFOOEY wouldn't allow diesel sets to be run in their state.
CaliFOOEY also won't allow any new generator plants that aren't powered by natural gas, and they can't cause thermal polution either. On top of that, NO NEW transmission towers in the golDUM state, so transmission efficiency is down the tubes.
CaliFOOEY won't even allow the installation of miniturbines cause they waste energy thru thermal polution. Check out www.capstoneturbine.com the machine is about the size of a refridgerator and can easily be installed in a substation, but not in CaliFOOEY, they want windmills there, and the windmills must be safety shielded so the condors aren't injured flying into the blades.
CaliFOOEY is going to seriously disrupt the natural gas demand, and the rest of us are going to pay for RockyD's subsidized air conditioning. Rocky will probably start breeding St Bernards in an air conditioned kennel.
