Where would I find a good pipe bender?

where to find a good pipe bender

To find a good bender, shop around, some manual benders are $1500, others are $99, it all depends on how often you'll be useing it, and the size of material you'll be bending.

Try searching this site for previous posts. This topic has come up a bunch of times, and there should be a lot of good info in the old posts...

      Good Luck!

MY first post here, but @ www.homier.com they have a 16ton manual pipe bender for $99. Wait until the trade show comes into town because shipping is almost twice as much as the unit itself.

Are you really talking pipe or do you mean tubing for roll cages and bumpers and such?

Either way, you can buy the pipe bender from Harbor Freight for under $100. Probably OK for simple tasks.

You can also buy a nice tubing bender from a company like JD Squared http://www.jd2.com where $750 or so will get you a bender, one set of dies, and a tubing notcher.

            Try Pro-tools.com
They have a nice bender for about $500. I bought the parts and I am making one just like their's for about $100 less. The bender from Harbor freight is not worth it. They do have free shipping on items over $50.00. Hope that helps.

Remember there is a big difference between bending pipe and bending tubing. If you are bending thick walled mild steel pipe you can get good results from the Harbor Freight bender, but if you are bending something like say .065 wall chromoly look at william lowbuck tools or protools for a hydraulic bender.
